Rev. Joe & Beverly Christian
Joe received an anointed desire to understand Hebrew while studying Modern Hebrew in his second year at Christ for the Nations Institute. Upon graduation Joe went to Israel in 1974 and worked on 2 Kibbutzim and studied Hebrew for 9 months in the half-day Israeli Kibbutz Ulpan Hebrew School.
Joe returned to the states for one year, but the call, anointing, and burden for Israel and the Israeli people fell on Joe during a quiet time of prayer.
Joe moved to Israel for 8 years remaining in Hebrew School half a day every year until returning to the states in 1983. Neither Joe nor Beverly are Jewish. The call to a circumcised heart knows no boundaries. Joe continued school receiving a B.A. in general ministry from Southwestern Assembly of God College and an MA in Old Testament from Criswell College. Joe is currently a Ph.D. candidate for the University of the Holyland in Israel.
Beverly was called to Israel in 1979 to work in a Bible school. Joe and Beverly met in a home prayer meeting and were married in Jerusalem in 1979. Beverly and Joe ministered with guitar and song in Hebrew and English in fellowships and home meetings throughout Israel.
Both Beverly and Joe worked for the Israeli Bible Society, taught in a Christian School, and worked in the Zion House Christian book store in Jerusalem for a number of years.
